IC of Russia took control of the situation with an illegal dump in the Petrozavodsk Park

The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin responded to complaints from residents of Petrozavodsk regarding the environmental situation in the park “Unnamed stream”. According to reports, for a long time the territory of the park is used for illegal dumping of construction debris, which causes serious damage to soil and groundwater. Attempts to resolve the problem through local authorities were unsuccessful.

In this regard, Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional department of the Investigative Committee Maxim Kozlov to conduct a thorough inspection and report on the measures taken to protect the rights of citizens to a favorable environment. The Karelian department has already started procedural actions.
