Penza cadets from school No. 71 visited the lesson of local history. The lesson was conducted by the investigator of the second department for the investigation of especially important cases of the SU IC of Russia in the Penza region Khokhlova A.A. and an employee of the regional library for children and youth Tokareva A.V. The meeting was held within the framework of patriotic education and preservation of historical memory.
The reason was the 212th anniversary of Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov. The theme was chosen for a reason: the fate of the poet was closely intertwined with the Penza Territory. His childhood and youth were spent in Tarkhany – today it is the State Museum-Reserve. It was there that the views of the future classic were largely formed.
Tokareva A.V. introduced the cadets to the main events of Lermontov’s biography and told about the significance of his work for Russian culture. Separately, she dwelled on the moral guidelines that the poet carried through his short but bright life: love for the Fatherland, honor and dignity.
Khokhlova A.A. drew the attention of the children to the importance of preserving the historical heritage and cultural traditions – not only of her native land, but of the whole country. This, according to her, forms pride for the Motherland and responsibility for its future.
The cadets listened with interest, asked questions and showed a good knowledge of the poet's works.
