Accidental find entailed criminal liability for a resident of the Eagle

In Orel, a local resident was convicted of illegal acquisition and storage without the purpose of selling a drug in a significant amount (part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He was sentenced by the Railroad District Court of the city.

As told in the joint press service of the courts of the Orel region, in September last year, a man found a wild plant of uncultivated hemp in abandoned suburban areas of the Railway district. He ripped it off and brought it home. Marijuana was later found by law enforcement.

Servants of Themis ordered Orlov to pay a fine in the amount of 20 thousand rubles.
