Smolensk nurses took part in the XII All-Russian Congress with international participation “Nursing of the Future”, which was held in St. Petersburg under the auspices of RAMS. The large-scale event brought together about 600 specialists from 48 regions of Russia, as well as delegates from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The Smolensk delegation, consisting of 45 representatives of various medical institutions, became the second largest and clearly demonstrated the potential of the regional nursing service.
Within the framework of the program, specialists worked at a strategic session on human resources, participated in discussions on the role of nursing and the impact of artificial intelligence, and also visited profile sections on oncology, rehabilitation, first aid and lean technologies. In addition to passing practical master classes, Smolensk residents actively shared their own developments. In particular, solutions for routing oncology patients, organizing the work of nursing councils and developing mentoring were presented. These proposals are planned to be used in the formation of methodological recommendations and planning of the work of healthcare institutions in the region.
At the event, for many years of work and contribution to mentoring, the main nurse of the Clinical Hospital No. 1 Lyudmila Alexandrovna Podgornaya was awarded the badge “For loyalty to the profession”. This award was a recognition not only of the personal merits of the specialist, but also of the high level of the nursing service of the Smolensk region. As a result of the congress, a productive exchange of methodological developments took place and agreements were reached on joint initiatives with colleagues from other regions.
The Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin noted that the exchange of experience and agreements on the implementation of joint projects open new horizons for the development of nursing in the region. According to him, the experience gained and established contacts will serve as a powerful incentive for further improvement of the health care system of the region.
