Three students from the Smolensk region successfully represented the region in the final of the All-Russian competition of professional skills "Building the future together", which was held in St. Petersburg. 30 contestants from 15 regions of Russia took part in large-scale competitions.
Our region at this significant event was defended by three children aged 14-17 years. These are students with disabilities from:
The Duchovshchi boarding school;
Yartsev boarding school;
Center for Education and Development "Special Child" (Smolensk). Together with the children, their leaders and teachers went to St. Petersburg.
A test of skill Within 5 days, the contestants performed complex practical tasks in the nomination “Painting Specialist”. The children demonstrated the skills that they honed in the conditions of specially equipped workshops on the basis of their schools. Despite the high competition, the main goal of participation was not so much a prize, as obtaining real professional experience.
The event became an important stage of socialization for the children. The special competition helped children:
Get new experience and strengthen faith in their abilities;
Make acquaintances with peers from other regions;
See the prospects of using your talents.
As the organizers and teachers note, the main victory here is not a diploma, but an acquired confidence. These skills will become the foundation for independent life of children after graduation, helping them to integrate into society and find their place in the profession.
