Smolensk bailiffs recovered moral damage for causing harm to health as a result of an accident

Smolensk bailiffs assisted a local resident in obtaining compensation for moral damage. According to the court decision, the injured woman was paid 400 thousand rubles for damage caused to her health as a result of a traffic accident. The accident occurred due to the fault of the driver of a cargo road train, who drove into the oncoming lane, which led to a collision with another car. As a result of the incident, a passenger of one of the vehicles was injured, and then went to court with a civil lawsuit. The court granted the woman’s claims, obliging the culprit to pay the specified amount.

As part of the enforcement actions, the bailiff of the Safonovsky and Holm-Zhirkovsky districts of the FSSP of Russia in the Smolensk region notified the debtor of the initiation of proceedings. After the deadline for voluntary execution of the decision had expired, the service officer applied enforcement measures. The bailiff initiated the arrest of funds in the bank accounts of the debtor, which allowed to restore the legal right of the victim to receive compensation.

Realizing its responsibility and seeking to avoid further legal complications, the debtor fully repaid the amount awarded. In this regard, the enforcement proceedings were completed, and the measure of enforcement was canceled.
