Smolyans reminded of the importance of free medical examination
The Ministry of Health of Russia announced the current week of informing about medical examinations and preventive examinations

The Ministry of Health of Russia announced the current week of informing about medical examinations and preventive examinations. Doctors of the Smolensk region urge residents not to neglect regular health checks, as this is a reliable way to notice changes in the body in time and prevent the development of serious diseases.
Schedule of surveys:
Citizens aged 18 to 39 years inclusive must undergo medical examination once every three years.
Residents aged 40 years and older - annually.
Within the framework of a comprehensive examination, which is available free of charge under the MHI policy, you can pass the necessary tests, make an ECG and fluorography, as well as get advice from a therapist.
Recall that modern survey formats are actively developing in the region. For the convenience of working citizens, “Night medical examinations” are conducted, and 52 mobile medical complexes run for residents of remote settlements. In the first half of 2026 alone, mobile teams made more than 1,800 visits, surveying over 67,000 people. In total, by the end of the year it is planned to cover more than 720 thousand residents of the region.2 source
Since September 1, 2026, the procedure for processing documents has also changed: expanded data on the lipid profile and risk assessment of coronary heart disease are now included in the medical examination card, which allows doctors to more accurately determine risk groups.
