Soso Pavliashvili told why his son calls him "mama"

Singer Soso Pavliashvili told what unusual nicknames he called children. In an interview with RIA Novosti, the artist explained that the Georgian word “mama” means “father”, so his son Levan addresses him.

"Lisa calls it plowing. Leva calls her "mom." In Georgian, a father is a mother. And Sandra is like, "Daddy, Daddy," the artist shared.

Pavliashvili has three children from different relationships. Son Levan was born in 1987 and daughters Elizabeth and Sandra in 2004 and 2008, respectively.

The artist also spoke about his father, who lives in Tbilisi. Pavliashvili considers him a very talented and insightful person with a subtle sense of humor and the ability to laugh at himself.

The singer admitted that over time he began to understand the wise advice of his father and now passes them on to his children. He hopes that they will listen to his words, and always reminds them that he learned a lot from his grandfather.

In 2026, Father’s Day in Russia is celebrated on October 18.
