The Council approved plots for warehouses and a hotel at the entrance to Nizhny

On October 16, the regional council on land and property relations under the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region approved the proposal of Volgaspetsstroy for the construction of a warehouse complex, a hotel and access roads. The project, initiated by MP Anton Ananyin, will be implemented at the entrance to Nizhny Novgorod from the Moscow side. Previously, consideration of this issue was suspended due to disputes over the movement of the entry sign.

The applicant intends to use five land plots located on Teplichny Street, near the Lemana Pro store on Moscow Highway. It is planned that warehouses and a hotel will be located on both sides of the existing stele. The Ministry of Urban Development proposed to dismantle and move the sign, but the city administration opposed it.

At the meeting, it was announced that Governor Gleb Nikitin approved the option of maintaining the stele in its previous place. Acting Minister of urban planning Sergey Popov expressed a personal opinion about the desirability of the transfer of the sign, considering the project without it “ridiculous”, but did not insist on his proposal.

The total investment in this project is estimated at 367 million rubles.
