Thank you for the beauty and comfort! In the Soviet region determined the best bench
District review-competition “The best bench – 2026” with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Oleg Korzun was held on September 11 in Moscow.

District review contest "The best bench - 2026" with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Oleg Korzun was held on September 11 in the Soviet district. Together with the members of the competition commission, the charms of small architectural forms were also appreciated by the correspondents of the Minsk-Novosti agency.

Last year, a similar holiday came to the street. Tsnyanska: there, on the site of the old stadium, a recreation area with comfortable benches, modern gaming and sports equipment appeared. This year, said the head of the administration of the Soviet district Alexander Shchekovich, decided to equip a recreation area in no less busy place: next to two gymnasiums, two kindergartens, a little further another. Specialist of green farming Ekaterina Vasyukovich added: instead of a grid of spontaneous protoktysh appeared full-fledged pedestrian connections. Installed children's and sports equipment - a recreation area. The benches are an organic part of it.

24 participants competed in the competition, new ones were added to the permanent ones. When developing the project, they proceeded from their own ideas about aesthetics and comfort - no preliminary orientations. And it turned out, said O. Korzun, worthy. There are wonderful examples of forging and carving, and harmonious combinations of benches with tables. One of the participants went a little further, applying the marking of a chessboard to the surface of such a table. The contours of corporate logos and emblems were also played, and on one of the benches the competition commission was waiting for a trio of smiling bears carved out of wood. With each bench, the urn is like a single ensemble. Some of them have parking racks for bicycles.

Presenting their creations, many participants noted that, when starting to develop the project, they conducted a survey and focused on the specific wishes of citizens. The real decoration of the territory was the "rest complexes" - in another way you can not call either a paired bench, separated by a tua tua tua, or a bench under a canopy, supplemented by improvised sun loungers: you can relax in a horizontal position.

- Since the appearance of benches here, they are used for their intended purpose: they were chosen by both old and young, one of the participants noted.
Acquainted with small architectural forms, O. Korzun delved into technical details, interested in, among other things, the reliability of structures and the resistance of materials to environmental influences.

- It is important that this beauty lasts as long as possible, therefore, in the context of city-wide work on installing video cameras in courtyards, it is necessary that they appear not least in such areas, the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee emphasized.
The creations submitted to the court of the competent commission were evaluated according to three criteria: innovations reflected in the draft, reliability and quality of execution were taken into account. The maximum score for each of the indicators is 10 points.
- My score is 30 points for each participant. Already for what we did. The benches are interesting for their artistic design, form, performance, and I do not want to call this holiday a competition: the victory is probably already in the fact that these small architectural forms were here to the place and time - on the eve of the next birthday of our capital and the Day of National Unity.
Which creation will eventually receive the maximum points, will become known a little later. Now one thing is clear: the winners were the residents of the whole quarter — overnight at their disposal there were two and a half dozen useful objects.

Among those who appreciated the beauty and convenience of the new benches is Zoya Antonovna from the house No. 57 on the street. Surganova. She is 87 years old and 55 of them live in the area. I remember when the private sector was here.
- I don’t know how to express admiration for beauty and comfort. To all who conceived such a transformation and embodied bold plans, thank you very much.
