Sports, soap bubble shows and cheerleaders: how partisan celebrates the 959th anniversary of the capital

The festive program “My relatives Minsk, you are Sir Belarus” takes place in the Park of Extreme Sports (Stoletov St., 1) on September 12. Interactive zones, a food court work here, and young people actively spend time at break dancing, streetball, laser tag and bumperball venues, a Minsk-Novosti correspondent reports.

The start of the festivities was given by an exemplary instrumental ensemble “Mirage” of the gymnasium No. 5 named after the heroes of the meeting on the Elbe, who performed the song “Minsk is me!”.

Nikolai Polyakov, Head of Administration of Partizansky District, congratulated the participants on the City Day, expressed gratitude to the staff of enterprises, veterans and youth for their contribution to the development of the capital, and wished Minsk further prosperity. He also presented certificates of honor and gratitude to BRI activists and volunteer fighters – workers, inspectors, economists and engineers of the industrial flagships of the district, noting their important role in ensuring law and order.

At this time, the Open City Tournament in the discipline of the modern pentathlon "The Band of Obstacles" is held in SDUSHORE.

- A few years ago, this discipline replaced equestrian sport in the Olympic program and will make its full debut at the Games in Los Angeles. A unique track on the basis of our SDUSHOR was opened on City Day in 2024. For the first time, together with the district FOC, we prepared an open format of competitions - more than 50 races are planned, including the Open category, where participants from 15 to 50 years and older compete without restrictions, said Valentin Borovok, director of the sports school and the main judge of the tournament.

Many came to the park as families.

- We try not to miss City Day and come to the street every year. Stoletova with the whole composition, the Kovalchuk family shared. I am very glad that in our district the holidays are always large-scale, sincere and solemn. For children, the expanse is so many free activities, interactive, sports zones. With great interest we watch the pentathletes in the obstacle course. The atmosphere is amazing, it feels like a holiday!

The main stage continues a large-scale creative marathon. “Mirage” has already pleased the audience with famous jazz hits, and the pupils of the pop studio “Academy of Vocals” performed soulful songs about a small homeland. The rooms also represent the teams of the Center for Further Education “Victoria”, and right in front of the stage the performance was arranged by the exemplary studio of aesthetic development “Klyksy”.

The creative teams of the district schools and cheerleaders will come on stage. In addition, the program includes a spectacular show of soap bubbles, a performance of the ensemble of guitarists “With a Song on Strings” named after Pasternatskaya and a concert of the vocal group “Neskuchny age” of the Children’s School of Arts No. 2. In the evening, a large program will begin with the participation of the duet Casey and Eugene Lashuk, the HOKY Band and the Panthers dance group. The culmination will be an hour-long concert headliner – group “+375”, which will end at 20:00.
