Became known the concept of the festival “Hyperborea-2027”

The organizers of the international winter holiday "Hyperborea", which is scheduled for the period from 9 to 13 February 2027, decided on the main theme of the event. According to the mayor of Petrozavodsk Inna Kolykhmatova, the upcoming festival will be timed to the 880th anniversary of Moscow.

According to the mayor, this year the ice and snow compositions will be united by the common idea of the Best City of the Earth. The masters were invited to embody in their works the iconic symbols of the Russian capital: from the historical Kremlin and Stalin’s skyscrapers to modern Moscow City skyscrapers. The topics will cover not only the architectural heritage, but also the cultural layer - from theatrical productions and literary images to biographies of outstanding personalities.

As part of the festival, according to tradition, master classes for sculptors and competitions in sculpting snowmen will be held. Inna Kolykhmatova expressed confidence that Hyperborea will become a symbol of strong friendship between Petrozavodsk and Moscow.
