In terms of egg consumption, the Arctic region was close to the average Russian indicator, and in the Northwestern Federal District it is slightly higher - 255 pieces per year per person.
Eating habits in the regions vary significantly. Most eggs among the subjects of the North-Western Federal District are consumed in the Vologda region - an average of 327 pieces per person per year. This is 76 more eggs than in the Murmansk region. The lowest indicator in the district was recorded in the Pskov region.
Such data help to study the characteristics of the population’s diet and compare food consumption in different regions.
Eggs remain one of the available sources of protein and also contain vitamins and minerals. They are used for breakfast, baking and many everyday dishes.
