The capital authorities congratulated Minsk citizens on the Day of National Unity

Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev and Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies Artem Tsuran congratulated the residents of the capital on the Day of National Unity, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- For every Belarusian, this holiday is filled with special meaning. The day of September 17, 1939, became the point of restoration of historical justice: our people, torn by borders, found themselves again in a single state. For centuries, Belarusian lands have repeatedly tried to divide and deprive us of language, faith and traditions. No force could break the desire of Belarusians to live on their land according to their own laws.

This centuries-old resilience is a lesson for us today. Unity has always been our main pillar: it has helped us to survive in difficult times, preserve ourselves as a people and build a sovereign Belarus. Respect for the past, mutual understanding and patriotism are the values that lead us forward.

We can live in different parts of the country, work in different fields, but we all have one thing in common - sincere love for the Motherland and the desire to see it strong, beautiful and hospitable. It is in this daily work, in caring for each other, that real unity is manifested.
