The court did not support the request of the Prosecutor’s office to seize land in the center of Novosibirsk
The arbitration court of the Novosibirsk region rejected the claim of the Prosecutor’s office, which demanded to return to municipal ownership of the site on Lenin Street
The Arbitration Court of the Novosibirsk region rejected the claim of the prosecutor’s office, which demanded the return to municipal ownership of the site on Lenin Street. On the territory there is a restaurant courtyard and a six-storey hotel "Central".
The agency sought to invalidate the land sale deal concluded on June 9, 2022. The defendants in the case were the company “Central-Alpha”, which owns the site, and the mayor’s office of Novosibirsk.
The legal dispute has been going on since autumn 2023. In the spring of 2024, the proceedings were suspended due to a counterclaim of the company to the city administration regarding the expansion of the territory. The court later denied the organization its claims.
The Prosecutor’s office returned to the consideration of the claim in May 2026. On October 23, the court decided to refuse the supervisory authority on all the stated requirements.
Previously, the disputed land was seized as an interim measure. The issue of its withdrawal can be considered after the court decision enters into legal force.
The prosecutor's office has the right to appeal the decision.
