The Nevsky district court of St. Petersburg sent into custody a native of the Pskov region, accused of kidnapping a little girl in an elevator on Soviet Avenue. This was reported in the joint press service of the courts of the city.
According to investigators, everything happened on the evening of October 18. A man grabbed a nine-year-old girl by the neck and head. By force, he pulled her into an inter-apartment corridor on the ninth floor. As a result, the child suffered physical pain, moral suffering and multiple superficial neck injuries.
Guilt a native of the Pskov region admitted, but in court asked for a softer measure of restraint, for example, house arrest.
The investigation opposed it. Officers indicated that the accused lives in the same house as the victim. Meeting with him can greatly harm the psycho-emotional state of the child. In addition, the man could threaten the witness who identified him to change the testimony.
The court listened to the arguments of the investigation and detained the defendant in custody. He will remain in jail until December 18, 2026.
We will remind, the witness of this incident was a neighbor who immediately called the police. But the victim was detained only the next day.
