In the Novocherkassk city court continues the hearing of the death of 27-year-old mother from Novocherkassk Anna Malova. In the dock was anesthesiologist Mikhail Tsibadze. He is charged under the article “Causing death by negligence”.
According to the portal DonDay, at the meeting on October 22, the representative of the victim, the father of the girl Andrei Admiralov, filed a civil lawsuit for compensation for moral damage.
- Our family fears that the culprit may receive a suspended sentence, Andrei Admiralov told DonDay. Therefore, we decided to file a lawsuit for compensation for moral damage. Of course, this money will not return my daughter, but I consider it necessary to hold the doctor accountable for what he did. We use everything the law gives us to make the guilty feel the full extent of the consequences of their actions.
According to the materials of the criminal case, Anna Malova was given painkiller injections three times. This did not bring the desired result, and the specialist administered the fourth dose - spinal anesthesia. The inquest found that instead of an anesthetic, Anna was injected with tranexamic acid, used to stop bleeding. After this injection, Anna fell into a coma. Two days later, the 27-year-old patient died without regaining consciousness. Her newborn daughter survived.
The trial is coming to an end. Debate is expected at the next meeting. The court will give the accused the last word. If Mikhail Tsibadze is found guilty, he can be sentenced to up to three years in prison.
