Young folk artists performed their own songs at the concert “People’s Soul” as part of the “Soul Festival” in the Palace of Sports, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Singer Alexandra Melekh for 7 years sings as part of the folklore and ethnographic ensemble “Nerush”, worked as a backing vocalist in the project “Aura” under the leadership of Evgeny Oleynik. Now she performs on the same stage with Belarusian and Russian stars during the Soul Festival.

My love for folklore began as a child when my grandmother sang the songs of Nadezhda Kadysheva. Now I will popularize folk songs to the masses, because I believe that you should show your own songs and be proud of them. It’s easy to promote pop folk culture now because folk is trending. All my songs are liked by the audience: “Ah, Alexander”, “Zroblena де Belarus”, and “Where I was born, I came in handy”, etc. My target audience is people over 40. Soul Festival is growing, and it's exciting. In dreams to sing with my favorite singer Marina Devyatova, shared A. Melekh.

Russian singer Plutto (real name - Alexey Lutovinov) also performed on stage. He performs lyrical songs with folk motifs in pop and hip-hop styles. Alexey’s roots come from the Don Cossacks. Therefore, the young man comes out to his performances in a papache. The singer himself assures that this is not just a stage image, but a lifestyle. For the Belarusian public, Plutto performed the songs “Au”, “Who’s Home”, etc.

- I've always loved folk music, but I'm a music lover. I try to combine different genres in my songs. As a dancer, I am actively collaborating with Niletto, but I would love to record a joint video with folk singers as a singer, for example, Tatiana Kurtukova. I think our energy is going to be really cool. And this collaboration will eventually result in a good musical composition. In awe of her song "One," shared Plutto. The audience at the festival is incredible. In my performance, they got up, started dancing. This is the best support for an artist. Life is cyclical. Our grandmothers loved folk art very much, with time it became less, and now folklore is growing with new vigor.
