More than 100 units of special equipment were brought to clear roads in the Kirov region
In the region, road services officially switched to the winter mode of transport arteries
The reason for the active work was the incessant precipitation in the form of snow, which is observed in the region in recent days. Teams of workers and special equipment quickly began cleaning the roadway to ensure uninterrupted traffic.
The main scope of tasks to ensure traffic safety is assigned to the regional enterprise Vyatavtodor.
Over the past day on regional and municipal highways involved more than 100 special vehicles. In the clearing of snow drifts and elimination of naledi involved 39 combined road vehicles, 18 loaders, 3 graders, 1 tractor, as well as 46 units of auxiliary equipment.
Special attention was paid to the treatment of the roadway with deicing materials in dangerous areas, ascents and descents.
During the day, road workers distributed 980 tons of sand-salt mixture, covering 1,626 km of trails.
Monitoring of the situation continues in continuous mode, and the duty schedule is adjusted depending on changes in weather conditions.
In connection with the deterioration of weather conditions, the regional Ministry of Transport called on Kirov motorists to be more vigilant.
Representatives of the department urged drivers to strictly observe a safe distance, to abandon sharp maneuvers, to choose speed taking into account the real road situation and immediately change summer tires to winter.
