Over two million tons of sugar beet collected by Lipetsk farmers

During the harvesting company in the Lipetsk region, farmers collected more than two million tons of sugar beets. Such figures are reported by Governor Igor Artamonov.

- Growing sugar beet and sugar production – according to these indicators, we traditionally have one of the best results in the country, the head of the region said.

The average yield is 420 centners per hectare. The leader in cleaning is the Dobrin district, where more than 380 thousand tons have already been dug up.

Sweet root vegetables will be processed at six sugar plants in the region.
