Tambov farmers collected more than 500 thousand tons of soybeans

In the Tambov region, the harvesting campaign of oilseeds continues. According to the operational data of the regional Ministry of agriculture, farmers have already collected more than 500 thousand tons of soybeans. Removed 79% of the sown area – 204 thousand hectares out of 258 thousand sown this year.

The leader in gross harvest was Staroyurievsky municipal district - more than 40 thousand tons. More than 37 thousand tons were collected in Morshan, Petrovsky and Sosnovsk districts, 36 thousand tons in Tambov. The largest areas of culture have yet to be removed in the Tambov and Sosnovsk districts - more than 20,000 hectares of soybeans have been sown here. More than 18 thousand hectares are occupied by culture in Pervomaisk and Morshan districts.

Specialists of the Ministry note that protein crops, including soybeans, are a promising direction for the region. Soy is rich in proteins, vitamins and useful minerals and is widely used in the food industry and feed production.

Recall, according to the Center for Agroanalytics of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, by the end of 2025, the Tambov region took second place in the TOP-10 regions of the country with the largest increase in soybean harvest. Last year, the agrarians of the region collected a record 750,000 tons of culture - 320 thousand tons more than in 2024. In soybean production, the Tambov region occupies the fourth position in the rating of Russian producers.
