A sentence has entered into force against a resident of the Tambov region, found guilty of a cruel massacre of his wife.
The tragedy occurred on the evening of November 21, 2025. While in his own home with his wife and underage daughter, the man grabbed a kitchen knife during the conflict. Armed, he dealt his wife at least seven blows to vital organs. From the wounds received, the woman died on the spot without waiting for help.
The district court, having considered the case materials, found the defendant guilty of murder and sentenced him to 11 years in prison. The convicted person will serve his sentence in a correctional colony of strict regime.
The defense considered the verdict too harsh and tried to appeal it by filing a complaint with the Tambov Regional Court. However, the higher instance, having studied the arguments of the lawyer, found no grounds for changing the sentence. The District Court decision was left unchanged and has now come into force.
