Terek Cossacks elected a new ataman in Stavropol

The Great Reporting and Election Circle took place in Stavropol, during which the Terek Cossacks unanimously elected a new ataman. It was Anton Trushev, who previously headed the Izobilny district Cossack society. The event was attended by representatives of the clergy and authorities.

The former ataman, Cossack Colonel Vladimir Savchenko, who underwent a special military operation, resigned last autumn for health reasons. Temporary acting military ataman was Anton Trushev - military sergeant, who participated in the SVO as part of the Cossack reconnaissance brigade "Terek".

Anton Trushev said that he was glad to support the brothers and trust, and stressed that he did not intend to reduce the pace of work: there are many tasks to be solved and measures to strengthen the Terek army and the Cossack brotherhood.

By tradition, the most distinguished Cossacks were awarded state and diocesan awards on the circle. Plenipotentiary representative of the President in the NCFD Yuri Chaika in an informal atmosphere, over a cup of tea, talked with the soldiers of the Cossack brigade “Terek” and discussed the necessary measures of support and assistance to the Cossacks, including the acquisition of units.
