Silence after nine: parents chat in Russia offered a night ban
Human rights center “Forty Sorokov” proposed the Ministry of Education of Russia to develop guidelines for school parent chats

The Human Rights Center “Forty Sorokov” proposed the Ministry of Education of Russia to develop methodological recommendations for school parent chats. The main idea of the initiative is to limit the activity in correspondence to hours from 8:00 to 21:00. About the proposal writes Life.ru.
The reason for treatment is a picture familiar to every parent. Due to the lack of uniform rules, chat discussions drag on well past midnight, and business disputes often slide into conflicts and mutual insults. No less painful complaint concerns class leaders: their messages often come at 21:00-22:00 and later, invading the personal time of the family.
The authors of the initiative offer a technical solution: to configure delayed delivery of messages sent outside the permitted hours - the text will reach the recipient only in the morning. And thematic chats are proposed to be limited to three areas: education, organization of events and safety of children.
The second set of recommendations is addressed to schools. They are advised to work out rules of communication together with parent committees: a direct ban on insults and obscene language, refusal of night messages. For control, it is proposed to appoint a moderator who will monitor the implementation of the agreements.
State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishchev in an interview with Gazeta.Ru recalled that the law does not oblige parents to register in messengers and participate in school chats - this is exclusively voluntary. So, claims to those who neglect the silence of the night are limited by etiquette.
