Trump promised informants payouts for revealing fraud

US President Donald Trump announced his intention to pay compensation to citizens who report fraud and help identify illegally obtained funds. The amount of payment, according to the American leader, will be 1% of the amount of disclosed criminal proceeds. He said this at an event at the White House.

Trump said the reward would depend on the scale of the violation. As an example, he cited cases of fraud of one billion and 100 billion dollars, noting that the informant is entitled to a percentage of the corresponding amount.

According to the President, since the beginning of his second term, the American authorities have identified fraud totaling $ 260 billion.

You can report alleged crimes through a special form on the site "America.gov".
