Tula political strategist and member of the Public Chamber of the Tula region Alexei Ignatov positively assessed the decision of the authorities of the Vologda region to completely ban the retail sale of vapes

Tula political strategist and member of the Public Chamber of the Tula region Alexei Ignatov positively assessed the decision of the authorities of the Vologda region to completely ban the retail sale of vapes. According to him, published in social networks, the region shows an example of consistent struggle with the availability of nicotine products.
Generally speaking, Ignatov commented on the publication of the Governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov, who announced the adoption of the relevant legislative initiative. From March 1, 2027, the region will ban the sale of electronic nicotine delivery systems, liquids for them, components and individual elements.
The political strategist drew attention to the fact that the Vologda region is not limited to information campaigns about a healthy lifestyle, but consistently reduces the availability of harmful products.
Earlier, 610 alcohol shops and 125 establishments selling takeaway alcohol were liquidated there. Now the region has taken up vape stores: 316 outlets have already stopped selling these products.
According to Ignatov, this approach allows not only to encourage people to give up bad habits, but also to reduce the number of places where you can buy nicotine and alcohol products. He supported the actions of the Vologda authorities and urged to continue this work.
The experience of neighboring regions is especially relevant for the Tula region, where they are also preparing to limit the sale of electronic cigarettes. The regional authorities are already discussing the relevant bill.
Earlier, “MK in Tula” reported that the Governor Dmitry Milyaev instructed to finalize the initiative to ban the retail sale of vapes and discuss it with public activists.
The document was planned to be submitted to the regional Duma in November. If the law is passed, the restrictions will be effective from March 1, 2027 and will last until 2032.
And by the way, the possibility to introduce such bans appeared in the regions after the adoption of the federal law in June 2026.
