Ufa doctors saved the lives of a woman and her baby

In the perinatal center of Ufa, doctors rescued a pregnant patient and her child. The woman came in with placenta previa and two scars on the uterus after cesarean sections.

Bashkortostan Health Minister Airat Rakhmatullin said in social networks that doctors had prepared for the operation in advance. It was attended by obstetricians-gynecologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, neonatologists and transfusiologists. During the operation, the patient was transfused with her own blood, the procedure was performed for 36 weeks and 4 days.

Surgeons managed to save the woman's uterus and successfully extract the baby weighing 3280 grams and 53 cm tall. In the first minute, the neonatologist estimated his condition by 6 points on the Apgar scale, but in the fifth minute managed to stabilize his condition to 8 points.

“Such delivery is in the group of ultra-high obstetric and surgical risk,” the minister wrote. Thanks to the professionalism of doctors and well-coordinated teamwork, a healthy boy was born, and my mother preserved reproductive health.
