In Svetlogorsk of the Kaliningrad region, at a meeting of the APR NPP Fund, the results of the Rosatom Smart Cities project were summed up, within the framework of which the next stage of digitalization was held in Desnogorsk.
The main technical achievement was the modernization of the city video surveillance system: the speed of streaming data has increased by 10 times. To ensure security and continuous control, the Office of Civil and Emergency Affairs received new server capacities, network equipment and automated workstations, which significantly accelerated the response to threats.
The program part of the project was also updated: 11 modules of the Smart Desnogorsk platform (including residents’ messages, notifications and weather data) were upgraded to the new version, and the mobile application was updated to version 2.0. It has a modern design, user-friendly interface and now works as a single digital window – residents no longer need to go to third-party sites to solve urban problems.
Representatives of Rosenergoatom and the administration of Desnogorsk emphasize that the main goal of the implementation is to increase the safety and comfort of citizens. Deputy Mayor Natalia Alexandrova noted that digital services help to respond more quickly to appeals. The technological basis is the domestic platform, which, according to Deputy General Director of Urban Technologies Maxim Smirnov, guarantees protection against cyber threats and high fault tolerance.
In 2026, it is planned to further expand the video surveillance system and increase the functionality. To date, Smart City technologies have covered 20 cities where Rosatom enterprises operate.
