A native of Arkhangelsk Anastasia Meremkulova is preparing for a flight into space

A native of Arkhangelsk, Anastasia Meremkulova (Burchuladze) is preparing for a flight into space. This is reported by the city administration community.

Anastasia was born in Arkhangelsk in 1996, received higher education at the Moscow Aviation Institute.

According to the results of an open selection to the cosmonaut detachment of Roscosmos, she became one of four candidates for test cosmonauts and the only girl among them.

Previously, she underwent training flights on the Il-76MDK laboratory aircraft - a simulator of weightlessness, testing by loneliness in the sign-room (64 hours without sleep with the execution of tasks), preparation for evacuation on board a helicopter and practical first aid classes.

Now she has a new stage: parachute training - 40 jumps in three weeks in the Saratov Aviation Club named after Yuri Gagarin, water training with working out actions when landing the lander, as well as diving training - 40 hours of theory and practice, offset and admission to descents up to 20 meters.
