What are the prospects for the development of artificial intelligence in Belarus and where it is already widely used, said First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Alexander Egorov on the air of the TV channel “First Information”.

Alexander Egorov noted that the republic follows the approach, the essence of which was precisely and succinctly formulated by the President: “Artificial intelligence will not replace a person, but removes routine and dangerous tasks from him, helps to increase the competences and capabilities of engineers, technologists, farmers, scientists and officials.”.
It is about increasing the efficiency of human work where it is really necessary and appropriate. In Belarus, such technologies are applicable, firstly, in medicine by creating a single centralized digital system that will help doctors make accurate diagnoses at an early stage.
The second area is legislation and public administration. “Artificial intelligence is able to analyze a huge array of normative acts, find duplicate or outdated norms and significantly reduce the bureaucratic burden,” said Alexander Egorov.
The third area is education, training of qualified personnel of the new generation who are able to correctly set tasks for digital systems.
Also, AI can be used more widely in the agricultural sector - from the system of precision farming using MTZ equipment to robotic livestock complexes, where neural networks optimize the diet and monitor the health of livestock.
“The most important thing is that artificial intelligence becomes a super-qualified assistant, significantly increasing the productivity of existing personnel, and not replacing it,” said Alexander Egorov. Artificial intelligence is not a fabulous magic wand that can turn the world economy in a day. Not the mythical superintelligence that will leave us all out of work tomorrow. This is a complex applied mathematics with more than 70 years of history, which has become a powerful amplifier of human labor.”.
First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank noted that one should not be afraid to turn to artificial intelligence. It can really simplify life, just use it wisely and usefully.
