In 2027, a full race season will be held at the Rostov Hippodrome

In Rostov-on-Don, after the privatization of the racetrack, a responsible department was appointed. The facility became federally owned by Rosippodrom JSC, and the management has already begun to develop plans for its restoration.

After completing all organizational formalities, the new management will begin work on the restoration of the racecourse. First of all, it is planned to repair stables and stands. Given that the facility has not been serviced for several years, the scope of upcoming work is very significant.

In 2026, the Rostov Hippodrome actually did not hold a race season due to bureaucratic delays. However, next year it is planned to eliminate this problem. The race season will begin on April 25 and last until September, and two more race days are scheduled for October, Governor Yuri Slyusar said.

"Rosippodromes" offer to make our racetrack leading in the south of Russia and the venue for the qualifying stages of the race. The idea to develop it as a family recreation center with additional services and necessary infrastructure was also supported. This will create another point of attraction for residents and guests of Rostov, the governor said.

It should be recalled that six months ago the territory of the racecourse was planned to build residential complexes. However, thanks to the efforts of the horsemen of Don, the object was saved.
