In Abaz completed the repair of 16 areas of heating networks and water supply

In Abaz, utility networks are being updated to prepare the city for the cold. Of the 19 heat and water supply sites included in the repair program for 2026, work has already been completed for 16. At three sites, repairs are ongoing, the city administration said.

On Rudnaya Street, workers are finishing up closing the trays, and on Osipenko and Lenin streets they are still repairing. In some already finished areas, it is necessary to level the soil and bring rubble.

Work was more difficult due to the age of communications: separate sections of the heating grid were built in the 1960-1970s. The sizes of concrete slabs that close the channels with pipes also differ. They have to be lifted with an excavator, then pour the seams with concrete and insulate.

The main task is to complete the installation and start heating and hot water supply before the onset of frosts. Repairs are carried out under the program “Modernization of municipal infrastructure”, which is part of the national project “Infrastructure for life”. It aims to update worn-out networks, reduce accidents and resource losses.
