At the airport of Irkutsk, the transport prosecutor's office checks the emergency with the An-24 aircraft

The incident occurred on October 18 in the air harbor of the regional center. During the training flight, the crew of the An-24 aircraft of IrAero Airlines reported smoke in the area of the right landing gear. As it turned out, the cause was damage and rupture of the pneumatics of the right main wheel. This was reported by the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

The landing went smoothly, but due to problems with the chassis, the liner stopped right on the taxiway. There were no passengers on board and there was a training flight. There are no casualties as a result of the incident.

Due to the emergency, the airport runway was closed for two and a half hours. Currently, the aircraft has already been towed to the parking lot, and the airport has returned to normal operation.

The Baikal-Angarsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office conducts an inspection of the implementation of the legislation regulating flight safety.
