In Azov State University held Christmas readings

P.D. Osipenko Azov State Pedagogical University hosted the regional stage of XXXV International Christmas Educational Readings.

The theme of the event – “Christian teaching about man and the challenges of modern technologies” – allowed to unite representatives of the clergy, teachers, heads of educational institutions and students to discuss the role of education and spiritual and moral education in the era of digital transformation.

Acting Rector of AGPU Ekaterina Stepanyuk made a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of social partnership between the authorities, educational and religious organizations in preserving national values and educating young people.

An important part of the program was a panel discussion led by Priest Petr Galaniuk: participants considered how modern technologies relate to traditional human values. Addresses were also made by Bishop Peter of Berdyansk and Primorsky, Igor Kuzmin and Ulyana Egorova-Skobelev.

Readings have become a platform for professional dialogue and exchange of ideas on topical issues of modern society.
