In Bashkiria 36 thousand ninth graders decided to study in technical schools

Of the 40,585 applicants, 36,000 are residents of Bashkortostan, which indicates the high loyalty of local youth to the regional education system. Another 4.5 thousand are representatives of other regions of Russia, for which colleges of the republic are becoming an attractive social elevator.

The most popular are specialties related to IT, oil and gas, medicine, law and pedagogy. A modern college entrant is no longer a stereotypical “graduate with reference”, but a young person who consciously chooses an applied, highly paid profession here and now, without having to spend years getting an academic diploma.

Since 2025, the republic has been systematically increasing the target admission figures, responding to the request of the real sector of the economy. This year, the number of budget places in colleges in Bashkortostan amounted to 24,318 – this is two thousand more than a year earlier. Such a step is directly related to the personnel needs of priority industries: oil and gas and chemical industry, mechanical engineering, energy and IT sphere.

“To study in colleges has become prestigious,” said the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. More than 60 percent of ninth grade graduates in Bashkortostan choose them. And we must create conditions for these children in which they will be able to get a really good education and demanded specialty.

This year, eight new educational and production clusters were created on the basis of colleges of the republic, and their total number reached 27.

Training becomes targeted. Factories in Neftekamsk, Belebey and Tuimaz already form an order for specialists, and colleges prepare training programs for this order. As the head of the republic emphasized, the need for personnel for such giants as the Ufa Engine-Building Production Association requires an increase in the plan for the admission of specialized specialists to two or three thousand people.

Special attention was paid to the support of the families of the participants of the special military operation in the 2026 reception campaign. As a priority, 2541 people were enrolled in colleges, including 70 SVO participants, 1669 children of military personnel, five widows of SVO participants, 797 applicants entering the target area.

For children of SVO participants who enter the specialty with paid training, a system of certificates for reimbursement of tuition fees is provided. At the beginning of October, 962 such certificates were issued. In addition, students from the families of SVO participants studying in non-state colleges can receive direct reimbursement of expenses.

- The results of the admission campaign of 2026 show: Bashkortostan successfully solves a two-pronged problem, experts say. On the one hand, the region covers the acute need of the economy for skilled workers and mid-level specialists. On the other hand, it provides young people with a clear and fast path to financial independence and self-realization. Investments of half a billion rubles annually for the repair and equipping of colleges, grants for masters of industrial training and a close link “college – enterprise” form a new reality in which being a worker is prestigious, profitable and promising.
