As part of the Batskawa Kashulya campaign, which started on the International Day for the Protection of Children on June 1, 2026, more than 1,600 coughs were handed over across the country. This was told by the Chairman of the Belarusian party “White Russia” Olga Chemodanova during a cultural and educational evening dedicated to Father’s Day, which is celebrated on October 21, reports sb.by.

Olga Chemodanova told how many guard shirts were donated to families during the entire initiative:
- As part of the Batskawa Kashulya campaign, which started on the International Children’s Day on June 1, 2026, more than 1.6 thousand coughs have already been handed over across the country. For our country, the birth of children in the family is a great happiness. And when three children are born in a family, it is probably even more happy, because our President said: “The third is my child.” At the same time, "Batskava Kashulya" is a very symbolic thing. We relied on our folklore. Professor of BSU Irina Kazakova composed the legend “Batskava Kashulya”. This is a talisman for a child, the very shirt that parents wear when they baptize their baby. Every family, where a third child was born, we give a shirt that will protect the baby from all troubles and diseases. The most important thing is to preserve this talisman and pass it on to subsequent generations.
At the meeting, parents with many children were presented with a video dedicated to the legend of “Batskawai Kashula”. The video tells why in the old days children were given a guard shirt: it saved from any danger.
