A unique heart operation to correct tricuspid valve insufficiency (TC) in a patient born in 1959 was carried out by doctors in the capital RSPC "Cardiology", the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti".

In 1984, she was operated on in the Moscow NMIC Cardiovascular Surgery named after A. N. Bakulev, where she implanted two rings of proofreader in the mitral and tricuspid positions.
By the time of admission to the RSPC, the patient suffered from chronic heart failure due to severe dysfunction of the previously implanted ring of the TC corrector. Doctors recommended her to correct the valvular pathology by X-ray endovascular method, since the risk of repeated cardiac surgery was extremely high due to high pressure in the pulmonary artery.
The operation on transcatheter implantation of TC was performed by a multidisciplinary team led by the head of the X-ray surgery department of interventional cardiology, candidate of medical sciences Oleg Polonetsky and head of the department of interventional cardiology, doctor of medical sciences, associate professor Valery Stelmashkom.
It is worth noting that in Belarus, for the first time, an operation was performed, during which the valve was implanted in a previously installed prosthesis - a corrector.
