In Belarus for nine months of 2026 revealed about 330 thousand suspicious phone numbers

About 330 thousand phone numbers, from which fraudulent calls were allegedly made, were identified by Beltelecom specialists for nine months of 2026. For comparison: in 2025, more than 19 thousand such numbers were identified, and in 2024 - about 800. This was reported to journalists on October 22 by the head of the security service of Beltelecom Pavel Davidovich, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

According to P. Davidovich, the company’s specialists use software and hardware systems to monitor phone calls and SMS messages passing through telecommunication networks. Analyzing technical information, they identify signs of possible fraud and pass the information to law enforcement agencies for verification and action. If it is technically possible to do this, individual telephone numbers, groups of numbers or certain communication directions may be blocked.

- The company is involved in fraud prevention. Information about common schemes of deception is posted on official Internet resources, in social networks and instant messengers, as well as in sales offices. This allows subscribers to familiarize themselves with warnings during the connection of services and contacting specialists, explained P. Davidovich.

Beltelecom is also developing services aimed at protecting subscribers from unwanted content and malicious software. In particular, the company offers parental control and antivirus protection of mobile devices. Technical measures do not eliminate the need to comply with digital security regulations.
