Expenditure operations on 158 fraudulent accounts suspended in Belarus per day

Law enforcement officers over the past day received more than 300 reports of phone calls scammers. 158 accounts have been suspended. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thanks to the efficiency of internal affairs officers and the vigilance of citizens, the vast majority of atrocities were prevented.

The department said:

30 crimes committed using information and communication technologies were registered. The department of the organization of processing fraudulent transactions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated the blocking of two phishing Internet resources (fake trading platforms, banks or services indistinguishable from these), blocked the possibility of payments to 338 foreign payment details used by attackers. Operatives detained two couriers working in the interests of scammers. They seized more than 60 thousand rubles.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also recalled that the method of committing illegal acts is dominated by viching on behalf of officials (telephone fraud). Then there is the purchase of goods on the Internet and theft using social networks.
