In Belarus for the day detained three couriers scammers: they seized more than 65 thousand BYN

Over the past day, the Belarusian police received more than 200 applications for phone scams. Thanks to the efficiency of law enforcement officers and the vigilance of citizens, the vast majority of atrocities were prevented, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Employees of the department of fraud processing blocked the possibility of payments to six foreign details used by the attackers.

In addition, the operatives detained three couriers working in the interests of scammers. They seized more than 65,000 BYN.

However, 16 crimes involving the use of information and communication technologies were recorded.

Analysis of the methods of committing illegal acts shows that the leading position is taken by visching - telephone fraud on behalf of officials. This is followed by theft of funds when buying goods online and using social networks.
