First of all, planes! The Belarusian State Aviation Academy hosted the Open Doors Day.
This format is a good opportunity to look at the future profession. The Academy is the only university in the country where specialists are trained not only in civil aviation, but also in the military. Technical areas are still the most popular. From year to year, a high competition is held by those who are associated with the operation of aircraft and ground support of flights. So, the pilots in the target direction of the competition nine people per seat – a record for the last few years. At the open day students came from all over the country.
Svetlana Khilkevich, Executive Secretary of the Admission Committee of the Belarusian State Aviation Academy: We have a traditionally high influx, we make several calls for our traditional event, wanting, probably, three times more than we can accommodate in our assembly hall. Traditionally, the event comes for students in schools who come in organized groups with representatives from school, and for parents who come with families who already purposefully know where they want to go and want to learn more detailed features of admission in order to prepare well for the whole year.
The guests were told about the specialties and their features, answered questions on recruitment in order to prepare applicants as much as possible before admission.
