In the department of services for visually impaired people of the Amur-Sanan National Library, readers were taught to “feel with their hands” at a master class in hand-molding of clay. The guide to the world of ancient craft for them was the teacher of the Children's Art School named after G. O. Rokchinsky, sculptor, artist Mergen Kavaldanov. He brought professional materials and tools with him, providing each participant with an individual set for creativity.
When making a horse figure, the teacher suggested turning to imagination, tactile memory and internal vision. Focusing on figurative verbal cues, participants moved from large forms to details, worked out the nature of their sculptures.
As a result, each author has his own unique horse – with his own relief, bend of the neck and a unique character, which is easily read by fingers.
