In the Tavri Rural Library of Skadov district, the Mother Language Day was held under the motto “Love and know your native language!”. As the head of the Skadovsk district Alexander Dudka said, a book-illustrative exhibition of dictionaries - from explanatory to spelling - was prepared for visitors.
For children organized a cognitive game “Native language, be friends with me!”. The children performed tasks with words and explained the meaning of expressions. Readers could get acquainted with publications and learn how dictionaries help to better understand native speech.
The head of the district noted that the native language preserves the history and culture of the people, and library events help to acquaint with the richness of the Russian word and maintain interest in its study.
