In Brest and Grodno regions, the borders of almost two dozen villages have changed
Large-scale adjustment of borders in Belarus: in the Pruzhansky district of the Brest region, changes affected 17 villages, three more settlements in the Grodno district.

In the Pruzhansky district of the Brest region and the Grodno district, the administrative boundaries of rural settlements have been adjusted. This is reported by BelTA with reference to the National Legal Internet Portal.
The changes were approved by the decisions of local Councils of Deputies: Pruzhansky (No. 145 of September 22, 2026) and Grodno (No. 275 of October 14, 2026). The documents came into force on October 18, 2026 on the basis of the law “On the administrative and territorial structure of the Republic of Belarus”.
What exactly has changed:
In the Pruzhan district, 17 villages received new borders. Among them are Bakuns and Zarechye (Velikoselsk Village Council), Wet and Shenevtsi (Mokrovsky Village Council), and New Zasmovichi (Novozasimovichi Village Council). In addition, the changes affected the settlements of the Ruzhansk Village Council (Volya, Kapli, Kulyany, Novosada and Peresadich), Sukhopol (Galena and Grinevichi), Khorevsky (Voshchini, Dobuchin, Zalesye and Rossokhi) and Shenevsky (Gorodechno, Kletnoe, Sosnovka and Chakhets).
In Grodno district, the territories of the village of Kamenka (Koptev village council) and the villages of Zalesyany and Osniki (Skidel village council) have been specified.
As a rule, such adjustments are carried out to streamline land use, bring cadastral plans in line with the actual use of territories or as part of local improvement.
