In Bryansk dismantled emergency children's and sports grounds

In Bryansk, several dozen children's and sports grounds were checked. Objects with dangerous defects and without owners responsible for their maintenance shall be dismantled. The reason for increased control was, among other things, cases of trauma to children on old equipment.

The commission, with the participation of representatives of district administrations, the city housing and communal services and the administration of property and land relations, revealed that many sites were installed in Soviet times and today do not meet safety requirements. Cracks, corrosion and loose parts pose a threat to visitors.

Last summer, children suffered injuries at several such facilities. At the house number 5 on the street Vorovsky child injured his leg, riding from an old slide. In the alley Novo-Sovietsky near the house No. 46 on the teenager fell basketball shield. On the site near the house No. 7 on Lermontov Street, worn-out sports equipment became the cause of the injury.

As noted in the explanations of the city authorities, the responsibility for the maintenance of the site depends on who owns it and who is responsible for its maintenance. If the object is part of the common property of an apartment building, the decision on its repair, replacement or dismantling is taken by the owners. Equipment deemed unfit for use must be dismantled.

Residents can take the initiative to create a new play or sports zone and attract funding under state programs.
