In Bryansk, rescuers conducted exercises at a chemically dangerous enterprise

In Fokinsky district of Bryansk, the Emergencies Ministry staff conducted a training to eliminate an accident with the release of dangerous chemicals. The exercises were held on the territory of the Chicken Kingdom enterprise.

Rescuers worked out actions to detect and localize the zone of infection, as well as prevent the spread of dangerous substances. To do this, experts conducted chemical reconnaissance, installed water curtains to suppress vapors and trained to collect the spilled reagent.

Special attention was paid to work in personal protective equipment. Participants checked the tightness of protective suits and the serviceability of breathing apparatus.

During the training, interaction between chemical reconnaissance groups, rescue units and the operational headquarters was also worked out. Rescuers trained to organize an alert, coordinate with emergency services and deploy a sanitary treatment point to disinfect people and equipment.

The exercises were held as part of the planned preparation of the EMERCOM units for man-made emergencies. Their task is to check the readiness of rescuers and work out concerted actions in case of a possible accident at a chemically dangerous facility.
