In Bryansk for nine months killed two pedestrians crossing the road in the wrong place
The head of the traffic police Department of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia in Bryansk Alexei Konovalenko said that this year in the city there were no dead on pedestrian crossings.

In Bryansk, road fences, traffic lights and artificial irregularities are used to reduce the number of accidents. According to the city traffic police, for nine months of this year in the region killed two pedestrians who crossed the road outside the established places.
As noted in the press service of the city administration, the installation of fences on the streets causes controversy among citizens. In a survey about new barriers on the dividing strip of Stanke Dimitrov street, 400 people took part. 82.1% of participants opposed the installation, 17.9% for it. Among the reasons for the discontent were limited visibility and inconvenience when cleaning the streets. At the same time, fences should prevent the crossing of the road in the wrong places.
State traffic inspection considers such structures necessary on the street Stanka Dimitrov, Navy and Post. Recently, the fence was also installed in Labor Lane. Deputy head of the city administration Igor Chubchikov noted that even if the measures taken will help save at least one life, they can be considered justified.
To reduce the speed of transport in dangerous places establish artificial irregularities. One of these sites is located on Sovetskaya Street near the fire station, where pedestrians often cross the road in the wrong place. Similar structures on Dookie Street have been in operation for about a decade.
The head of the traffic police Department of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia in Bryansk Alexei Konovalenko said that this year in the city there were no dead on pedestrian crossings.
The State Traffic Inspectorate believes that the measures that the department takes together with the city administration give a positive result. The cost of road safety remains a matter of debate among residents.
