In the Bryansk region it is possible to legalize online casinos
The fact that the Ministry of Finance is studying possible options for regulating online casinos, Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov said at the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.

In Russia, they are considering the possibility of legalizing online casinos by analogy with the regulation of bookmakers. The initiative may also affect residents of the Bryansk region.
The fact that the Ministry of Finance is studying possible options for regulating online casinos, Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov said at the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.
According to the agency, the legal online casino market can bring the budget about 100 billion rubles annually. According to Chebeskov, the illegal sector now receives comparative amounts, and its revenues, including those related to criminal activity, could go to the budget under official regulation.
However, the proposal raised objections. Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of Russia Vladislav Grib opposed the legalization, reports TASS. He believes that the availability of online casinos in a few clicks can attract more people, especially those who are not well versed in finance and perceive gambling as a way to make quick money.
Earlier, the state limited the activities of casinos in most of the country and created special gambling zones. At the moment, it is about discussing possible regulatory measures, not the decision to legalize online casinos.
