The Buddhist University of Buryatia discussed the projects of the Association of Buddhist Youth

At the Buddhist University “Dashi Choinhorlin” named after D. D. Zayaev Ivolginsky datsan, a meeting of members of the Association of Buddhist Youth was held. The Association includes schoolchildren, as well as students of colleges and universities of Buryatia.

Within the framework of the event, a round table on the topic “Youth and Buddhism in the modern world” was held. The participants discussed the possibilities of involving student communities and youth parliamentary structures in the implementation of the Association’s projects.

The round table was also attended by students of Buryat State University (BSU). BSU Rector Aldar Damdinov stressed the importance of popularizing Buddhism among the youth of the region. According to him, such work contributes to the preservation of traditional values and the expansion of international cooperation. It should be noted that the BSU has a department of philosophy of Buddhism.

The Association of Buddhist Youth was established in August 2026 in Ulan-Ude following the results of the IV International Buddhist Forum in Tuva.
