942 "Safe City" cameras installed in Buryatia: 66 crimes solved with their help

In the settlements of Buryatia installed 942 video surveillance cameras within the hardware and software complex "Safe city". Of these, 529 cameras operate in Ulan-Ude, including 51 cameras with biometric identification of faces, and 413 in the regions of the republic. With the help of technical means of the complex, 380 administrative protocols were compiled and 66 crimes were solved, and 231 wanted persons were detained using the biometric identification system. This was told in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Buryatia.

The register of people’s squads and public associations of law enforcement orientation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Buryatia includes 193 organizations with a total number of 1,204 vigilantes. During the reporting period, they took part in 3,707 joint patrols with the police, following which 916 administrative protocols were drawn up, 2 crimes were solved, and 1922 people were taken to the internal affairs bodies.

At the meeting of the board, the leadership of the Ministry gave a fundamental assessment of the activities of individual units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and territorial bodies and set specific tasks for the coming period. Traditionally, during the meeting, employees who have achieved high results in the service were awarded.
